This bright sketch (16 inches tall by 12 inches wide) depicts a historic incident that took place in the early 20th century, in what is now Sequoia National Park. In 2018 the artist retraced the author's route on a backpacking trip. My artwork was drawn with the aid of fresh recollections from that trip.
